Glorious 5 - Week #3
Another week and another excuse to share the highlights of my aimless wanderings on the Russian hacked and controlled google fueled web-o-sphere. Enjoy:
What part did Mickey Mouse play with the Beatles breakup? Why you don't want to ride Space Mountain during a "Code-V." And most importantly, why you never want to be deemed a Magic Kingdom "Treasured Guest". Enjoy these 50 fascinating and magically delicious things about the happiest place in the world.
2. Wind Map
While it's not recommended to use this illustrated wind map (or it's data) to fly a plane, sail a boat, or fight wildfires, it's oddly peaceful and mesmerizing to watch. It's digital wind zen.
Branch Davidian, Heaven's Gate, or The People's Temple of Jonestown? Thanks Jo Stewart, I finally have a make-your-own adventure type book and respected resource to help me find the community of strange religious fanatics I'm most compatible with.
“The truth is, we know so little about life, we don’t really know what the good news is and what the bad news is,”.
Fusing ancient wisdom with the evolving insights of modern psychology, Alan Watts (British philosopher and writer) explains presence, the yin and yang of fortune or misfortune, and finding meaning in meaninglessness. I am hoping that Dr. Watts and this wise Chinese Farmer's tale might influence all the new professional facebook political scientists & constitutional scholars that have invaded my newsfeed.
Need to protect your sandwiches from the roving band of thieves around the office break room fridge? Well, here is a genius idea from designer - Sherwood Forlee. It might be fake mold, but it's real security for your next delicious chicken salad on Wonder Bread. Currently, these are SOLD OUT, but I think you can figure out how to manufacture your own in a pinch.
Quote of the week:
If you expect the world to be fair with you because you are fair, you're fooling yourself. That's like expecting the lion not to eat you because you didn't eat him. - John Spence
