Glorious 5 - Week #5

One more week and 5 more wonderful internet treasures that proves that we live in such a glorious and magical time. Drunk jerks, marrying goats, brainwashed sheep, Big Brother and stupid (but clever) wet kids. Enjoy:

“I’m sorry that wasn’t me, I was drunk” has been scientifically proven to no longer be an excuse for liquid courage and bad behavior. Well, you might act slightly different but not by much. Personality changes aside, being drunk does make us more loud and annoying, and I do not science to tell me that. Bottomline: if you are frequently called out for being a jerk when you’re drunk, then hello…you’re probably a jerk.

I love it when modern technology collides with disappearing old world customs. It seems that I would have been quite the catch for marriage back in the Old Country. 8 goats for my dowry! Does anyone think they could do better than that?

Deskview is a compact and mountable desktop with industrial-grade vacuum discs that will securely stick to any flat and non-porous wall or window. Tested to hold up to 120 pounds this temporary workspace is the ultimate standup desk with better views than any corner office. A constant change of scenery might be just what you need to reach that productivity level you've been seeking. Heck, this sucky workstation might make me look forward to coming into a traditional office environment.

Attention social media political and behavioral science experts: when describing our current dystopian reality, please understand the Orwell’s “1984” and Huxley’s “ Brave New World” differences. While both novels show an Earth where people have all been rendered brainwashed sheep, they are actually contradictory descriptions. So, get your terminology and perspective straight before your next enlightening newsfeed post. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that that what we love will ruin us. Personally, I think we are in a Huxleyan world. Either way, we all end up the same way, under someone’s thumb, watched by the ever watchful eye, and totally screwed.

1 roll of plastic. 5 tons of water. 3 creative kids. 1 room. Zero parental supervision. Not being these DIY indoor pool makers downstairs neighbor, priceless.
