Glorious 5 - Week #4

This is the Father's Day Glorious 5 edition. Some of this week's finds will have a nod and a hardy pat on the back to the world of dear Ole' Dad. Happy Father's Day! Oh..and RIP Adam West.

No one is saying that you need to become an apocalyptic prepper, but these 8 honed survival skills could come in handy when you need them, or when you want to look "rugged."

Who or where would you haunt if you were a Ghost? Plus, 52 other great deep conversation starters you can ask your Dad to get to know him, or anyone else, better. My other favorite questions are:

> What are some things you wish you could unlearn?

> What object have you been searching for with no luck?

> What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

Dad's love lawns. Dad's love beer. Here's a gift where both meet. Basic principle of Cold Ground = Cold Beer. No electricity needed.16 bottles or 8 bottle models.

This treasure was found and shared by the refined Mike Bailey (Sip & Chew podcast) - this is a great article on how not to embarrass yourself when the waiter hands you the cork of the fancy wine you just ordered. Do you smell it, feel it, lick it or what?

Ok...I might lose some of the ladies with this post. However, the hidden Playboys of the 1980's is a well known Dad thing for the dads and the growing young sons of the time. These recently shot (tasteful) covers show 7 beautiful and vibrant mature Playboy Bunnies. Hugh Heffner always said, "once a playboy bunny, always a Playboy Bunny." These photos prove he was right.

Quote of the Week

"If our bookshelves are where we telegraph a version of who we want to be, then our YouTube search histories, culled from late hours punching away at whisky soaked keyboards, are what we really are, the self that is lead by desire rather than decorum." - Jonathan Goldstein (from the Reply All podcast)
